In the Begining

In the begining was Chip (a box slapper)  and Andy (a string buster) two old mates from Steel City looking for a good time involving hot cars, fast women, cheap booze and rockabilly music. They found it in the shape of The Stilletos their own rockabilly band and decided to add a drummer. Many were tried and found wanting, if not in the talent or enthusiasm departments then in the time department. Along came Dom, a bass playing skin thrasher from  Turkey County,  whose brain, if it was not running along the same lines was at least heading for the same station as Chip And Andy.

The Sound

Initially the trio played in a  rough tuff rockabilly style, but subtley yet quickly the band's sound morphed into something much harder. They were all fans of Link Wray and The Cramps, in fact these two acts were probably the only ones that all three held in high esteem. These influnces and others began to permeate their work and so imagine, if you will, Link Wray playing rockabilly. That'll give you some idea as to where The Stilletos are soundwise. If it stay that way who can tell?
